Entry Drills
If you're sitting on a bus or walking down the street, thinking to yourself "I wish I was driving" as you watch cars pass by, the good news is, it soon will be you and I'll make a promise, you won't stay a beginner for long.
Your first lessons are designed to get you going as quickly as possible, because you want to be driving and not sitting at the side of the road. On your first driving lesson, in a safe and quiet area, you will master the controls of the car and yes, you will be driving!
At the end of the lesson I will give you a progress report card, it details your skills, how advanced you are, and what else you need to learn. By using this report you can see your skills develop and know that you will soon be ready to take your driving test.

Part trained driver?
All you need to do is put your foot down and crack on with the rest of your lessons so you can pass your driving test! You can already drive, now it's just a matter of getting ready for your driving test by polishing up your skills.
Because you have been driving either with another instructor or friends and family, the last thing you want is to start from the beginning, so what I want you to do is tell me about your experience then show me.
On your first lesson take me out for a drive. I'll be next to you keeping a watchful eye, passing on my experience to you, and at the end of the driving lesson I will give you a progress report form. It will detail what you need to do to go on to pass your driving test.

From time to time people can feel nervous when driving or learning to drive and I know the anxiety and disappointment it can cause, but I have a solution for you.
Through my years of training and experience as a driving instructor, I have formulated a programme which helps people drive with a smile.
By working together as a team, you and I will set a plan to achieve your driving goals. I will always make sure you feel relaxed, comfortable and safe.
When on your lessons you are in control of what we do, I will have a plan for us to work to but we go at your pace. Yes I can motivate and encourage you, but you'll walk before you run.
You will find I have a calm and fun attitude to life, but I take my driving seriously and you will benefit enormously from my enthusiasm and passion.
Driving test rescue
No one wants to fail their driving test, let me help you put it right.
Failing your driving test is, quite bluntly a pain in the backside, but I'm going to help you change your fortunes so you can join the rat race.
I want you to start by telling my why you think you failed, that's really important. If you still have your test sheet I'd like to see it please, so I can see how you were graded and then I want you to show me what you can do.
We'll meet up and you will be driving immediately, while I monitor your driving and pass you a few tips along the way. At the end of the session I will write you a report showing you the areas you need to brush up on.
If you do not have a test booked in already it is likely we'll book your test now, and work out some lesson times before the test so you can be fully prepared and confident to pass next time.
Motorway Lessons
Driving on motorways for the first time can sometimes be daunting experience , however this shouldn’t be the case , so at Davids School of Motoring we provide motorway lessons for all Qualified Drivers .

Lessons are in batches of 2 hours and as required
Topics covered will be :
Entering onto a Motorway/Duel Carriageway by use of an acceleration lane
Using the correct lane and Maintaining Progress Safety
Overtaking And correct use of the Right Hand lane
Changing lanes safely
Driving at higher speed
Understanding motorway signers including gantry signs
Exiting motorways and using using deceleration lanes
Other topics : driving on country roads at higher speeds (driving within the speed limit of the road your on )
It’s important to remember that newly qualified drivers in Northern Ireland are restricted to 45 mph for the first year.
